Peace Regional RCMP lay charges after locating male on warrants
Little Buffalo, Alta. – On Feb. 26, 2025, Peace Regional RCMP responded to a report in Little Buffalo, where wanted male, Jarod Brandon Gene Whitehead (26), a resident of Little Buffalo, was located.
Whitehead was wanted for several offenses, including failure to attend court, assault with a weapon. Whitehead accumulated an additional charge of resist/obstruct a police officer.
With the assistance of the Western Alberta Containment Unit, Peace Regional RCMP located Whitehead hiding in a home in Little Buffalo. A judicial warrant was granted for RCMP to enter the home, and Whitehead was located and arrested inside the home, with no incident.
Whitehead was brought before the Justice of the Peace, where he was remanded with a court date of Mar. 10, 2025 at the Alberta Court of Justice in Peace River, Alta.
This investigation is still ongoing and RCMP would like to extend gratitude to community members for their assistance thus far.
