The Peace River School Board of Trustees has disqualified 4 trustee Moise Dion, effective September 26, due to non-compliance with remedial actions following a violation of the Trustee Code of Conduct and inappropriate comments directed at an employee.
Despite being sanctioned in December 2023 and asked to resign, Dion did not comply, leading to his disqualification.
The Ward 4 seat will remain vacant for now, but residents are encouraged to speak with any board member.
Trustees Lore Leitch and Crystal Owens will attend school functions in Ward 4.
Vice-Chair Lacey Buchinski emphasized the board’s commitment to operating respectfully and responsibly.
