Mother nature has provided some help to crews tackling wildfires in the northwest.
Rainfall over the past couple of days helped reduce fire activity with the Semo Complex Fire.
While it’s still classified as “out of control”, firefighters have been making progress.
The fire prompted evacuations on the Little Red River Cree Nation, but residents could potentially return home starting on Monday.
Meanwhile after being under a fire ban for some time, the High Level Forest Area has now been downgraded to a fire restriction.
The wildfire danger is still considered to be “high” however.
Alberta Wildfire officials are reminding those heading out to forested areas this weekend to be careful and responsible.
