Dry conditions are presenting some challenges for crews battling wildfires in Alberta.
Firefighters tackling the Semo Complex fires near Garden River have been using some heavy equipment to try and limit the spread of those fires.
Helicopters and air tankers have been facing challenges as well due to smoky conditions.
Right now there are over 50 “out of control” wildfires across the province, 8 in the High Level Forest Area and 3 in the Peace River Forest Area.
The biggest out of control fire in the Peace River area is a 616 hectare blaze about 10 km southwest of Keg River, which is suspected to have been caused by lightning.
Around half of the fires that have been started in Alberta this year have been determined to be human caused.
