Wildfire Update – July 30

Alberta Wildfire officials are expecting an increase in fire activity this week as much of the province will be dealing with warm and dry weather again.

With several different communities getting evacuated and thousands of people out of their homes right now, evacuess are encouraged to stay connected with their local authorities for updates.

One of those evacuated areas is the Little Red River Cree Nation where the Semo Complex Wildfire is estimated to be over 97,000 hectares in size.

Firefighting efforts are supported by personnel from as far away as Alaska, Mexico and Australia.
