Slave Lake RCMP arrest youth for uttering threats
Slave Lake, Alta. – On September 6, 2024, Slave Lake RCMP received a report that a security guard had been approached by a male, who brandished what appeared to be a firearm and threatened to pull the trigger before fleeing on scene. Officers immediately attended the location and located the suspect shortly after, where they were placed under arrest. Upon further investigation it was determined that the firearm was a pellet gun.
One youth, age 16, has been charged with the following offences:
- Uttering threats, death or bodily harm
- Carrying a concealed weapon x2
- Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose x2
- Using imitation firearm in the commission of an offence
- Fail to comply with undertaking
The youth was taken before a Justice of the Peace and was released with conditions on a release order. They are scheduled to appear in court on September 25, 2024 at the Alberta Court of Justice in Slave Lake.
