A mandatory evacuation order has been given for Indian Cabins and the surrounding areas due to wildfire concerns.
The order was made public at 10:55 this morning. Residents are instructed to evacuate using Highway 35 north up to the Northwest Territories. All evacuees are also required to register with the Mackenzie County Incident Command Centre by calling (780) 927-3718.
Evacuees are asked to bring medication, blankets, personal items, sleeping bags and identification if possible.
