The long-awaited return of the hot tub at Peace River’s Peace Regional Pool is finally here.
The Pool announced Monday (May 25) that the hot tub is back open, marking the end of a closure that has lasted since late 2021.
The reopening comes following a $1.61 million renovation project to restore the popular amenity for residents and visitors across the region.
Northern Sunrise County contributed $800,000 toward the project costs. In a statement, the Town of Peace River said the project “highlights the continued collaboration between the Town of Peace River and Northern Sunrise County to invest in regional amenities that benefit everyone.”
The hot tub reopening is welcomed news for pool users, many of whom have been waiting several years for the amenity to return.
