The Grande Prairie Storm continues to remain red hot in the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL).

In their last eight AJHL games, the Storm have just one regulation loss.

The Storm’s win means that they are now in a tie for third with the Spruce Grove Saints in the AJHL North Division at 13 points, with Grande Prairie having a 6-4-and-1 record. In contrast, the double-loss for the Wolverines slides them down to second place at 6-3-and-3, behind the Fort McMurray Oil Barons, who are now 7-1-and-1.

In the AJHL South, the Okotoks Oilers continue to dominate, having an unbeaten record at 10-0-and-0.

Michaud, with his 21 points, continues to lead the league in scoring, with four of his teammates occupying spots in the top 20. Michaud’s record includes 13 goals and eight assists.

Justin Bernier, who scored the game winner on Saturday with about 20 seconds left in the third period, sits in Number Four overall at 18 points, including five goals and 13 assists.

Also on the list includes Dallas Comeau in Ninth at 16 points. Zachery Okabe is in 13th spot with 15 points, while Connor Blake has 14 points, putting him in 15th spot overall.

The Storm continues their road trip with three games this weekend. They include games in Olds on Friday, October 13, in Brooks the next day, and in Calgary against the Mustangs on Sunday.

The team’s next game to go at Revolution Place will take place on Friday, October 20, 2017, when the Storm put out the welcome mat for the Calgary Canucks.
