Our golf course profiles continue as we look at the Fox Haven Golf & Country Club in High Level.

Bill McNeill is the grounds superintendent at the course, he says hole #16 is the signature hole on the course.

“It’s a short par 3 over water and you’re surrounded by two other holes also in #15 and #7. You’ve got a great view of them and the little pond in between that seperates the three of them. It’s a very pretty hole and a it’s kinda special to me. My good friend Darryl Thiessen who passed away back a few years ago, he and I were playing one night and I got to witness his hole-in-one on that hole.”

McNeill says it’s a “fun course to play” and the greens are in good condition.

He adds that they have a lot of Junior golfers who play the course.

“Two year ago (our junior league) started and there was only six kids at the time. We had two of our members, Sue Harvey and Garrett Brown, take that under their wing and with the guidance that they put forth, they now have upwards of 40-50 kids any given Wednesday evening.”
