The KIX FM and River Country Golf Tour goes through the Fox Haven Golf and Country Club near High Level where Desi Smith, Club President, oversees the course and chatted with Doug Longard about the facilities and events offered at Fox Haven.
Smith says the course has weathered well through a cold spring and winter and the greens are in excellent shape. The golf shop at the course offers clothing such as hats, shirts and also the necessities for before you step foot on the first tee.
The course is hosting its Midnight Open for the 50th year on August 21 and 22 with a fun 70’s themed Retro Glow Ball event the night before on August 20.
Volunteers help raise money for the course as well as put in work to maintain the course and put a hard days of work in so the course can be enjoyed by all. Smith says the course clubhouse and halfway snack house have had renovation work done to make the course even more inviting.
