The fifth course for the Great River Country and KIX FM Golf Tour is the Heart River Golf Club near Nampa. General Manager Dave Temple discussed the great offerings from the course and what he likes most about it. Temple described the course as very picturesque with tricky holes that can’t be beat by just smashing a driver towards the greens.
The playing surfaces at Heart River are in great shape according to Temple. With recent rain and hard work from the groundskeepers, the course is really lush and healthy looking. Before you hit the course, Heart river has a driving range to warm up your swing. The Golf Shop carries necessities for before you start your round of nine with things like balls, gloves, and tees.
if you’re hungry, Temple recommends the Bogey Burger from the restaurant as it has lots of grilled toppings and is very filling.
During the week, Heart River has Men’s, Lady’s and Couple’s nights which are very popular weekly events for the course. Temple says the course has some tournaments coming up and to find out about them please phone the course at (780) 322-3977 or visit the Facebook page.
