Since being made aware of a person wearing what appeared to be a Klu Klux Klan hood outside of the post office in January, Grimshaw council says it is committed to raising awareness against racism.

“Over the past several weeks we have been contacted by a variety of members of our community, in regard to our progress towards anti-racism awareness and education. We wish to acknowledge and thank the people that have reached out to us.

Council continues to move forward by researching, and engaging resources to create awareness and promote diversity, equity and inclusion that supports a strategic plan created by council in consultation with our community.

The Town of Grimshaw is a place for everyone and we welcome all individuals to our community.

Mayor and Council for the Town of Grimshaw”
