Offseason work is continuing for the North Peace Navigators in the NWJHL.

The team held their spring camp this past weekend in Beaumont and Head Coach and GM Jody Menssa says they got a good look at some players that could potentially help them next season.

“We had some players that would really fit those depth roles that we’re really excited about. We’ve definitely got some top end guys, there’s no doubt about it and we’re looking forward to those guys even having more of an impact. We’re looking at those players for sure. I think we’re going to have a really good contingent of players that are team first guys and guys that are going to work hard.”

The Navs will be the host team for the Junior B Provincials that will be in Peace River next season.

Menssa says there’s a lot of excitement from the players around that.

“We’re really hoping to get them out here in different events in the community as well leading up to provincials because that’s another big part of it is the preparations that we have to go into it from now until even when we start our main camp in the fall. We’re definitely calling on last years roster to help out with things in the community and get some exposure and awareness.”
