Anna McAskile moves up the ladder from the vice-principal position. She will succeed Scot Leys, who recently took on the position of Director of Leadership and Communications with Fort Vermilion School Division (FVSD).

“I appreciate the opportunity FVSD has given me,” McAskile said in a press release. “HLPS is blessed with a highly-competent staff dedicated to providing the best possible education to our students. Together, we’ll continue to make HLPS a place where student success is the priority.”

Having worked within the school division since 1992, she taught various grades through the years at Florence MacDougall and Spirit of the North Community Schools.

In 2006, she became Vice-Principal of Spirit of the North School, and moved over to the same position seven years later at HLPS.

Recently, McAskile also completed her Master’s Degree in Instructional Leadership.
