NPHL Division Final Matchups Set

The North Peace Hockey League Playoffs are continuing as we’re now into the second round.

In the East Division, the Falher Pirates swept the Grimshaw Huskies in the first round while the Manning Comets had to come back from down 2-0 to beat the Valleyview Jets in six games. In the West Division, the Dawson Creek Canucks got past the Fort St. John Flyers in five games while the Spirit River Rangers had to go seven games to get past the Grande Prairie Athletics.

The second round will see Falher face Manning while Spirit River will play Dawson Creek.

Game 1 – Thursday in Falher (8:30 PM)
Game 2 – Saturday in Manning (8:30 PM)
Game 3 – February 28 in Falher (8:30 PM)
Game 4 – March 3 in Manning (8:30 PM)
Game 5 – March 4 in Falher (if necessary)
Game 6 – March 7 in Manning (if necessary)
Game 7 – March 9 in Falher (if necessary)

Dawson Creek vs Spirit River

Game 1 – Thursday in Dawson Creek (8:30 PM)
Game 2 – Saturday in Spirit River (8:30 PM)
Game 3 – February 28 in Dawson Creek (8:30 PM)
Game 4 – March 2 in Spirit River (8:30 PM)
Game 5 – March 4 in Dawson Creek (if necessary)
Game 6 – March 7 in Spirit River (if necessary)
Game 7 – March 9 in Dawson Creek (if necessary)

Of the four teams left in the NPHL playoffs, Spirit River is the team with the most recent championship. Their last title was in 2017. The Falher Pirates last win was in 2012, Dawson Creek in 2003 and Manning’s only NPHL title was in 1987.
