RCMP looking for three suspects in alleged armed robbery case

The Fort Vermilion RCMP is looking for three suspects believed to be involved in an armed robbery on the Boyer River First Nation.

According to the detachment, it got a report of a victim being assaulted just before 8:00 on Sunday evening.

Officers learned that there were two other victims, and one was robbed at gunpoint.

The suspects also allegedly broke into two neighbouring homes in the community with disguises on and pointed weapons at the people inside.

There was damage to the property and two victims were injured, but it is believed that the injuries are non-life threatening.

The Mounties are looking for the following three suspects and are urging the public not to approach them as they are considered arms and dangerous.

Christopher Kidney Schellenberg, 37, of High Level, has been charged with:

  • Break and Enter with intent to commit Robbery, contrary to Sect. 348(1)(a) of the Criminal Code
  • 6 additional criminal code charges

Amadayas Albert LaForce, 21, of High Level, has been charged with:

  • Break and Enter with intent to commit Robbery, contrary to Sect. 348(1)(a) of the Criminal Code
  • 12 additional criminal code charges

Matthew James Cardinal, 26, of High Level, has been charged with:

  • Break and Enter with intent to commit Robbery, contrary to Sect. 348(1)(a) of the Criminal Code
  • 8 additional criminal code charges

All suspects should be considered violent and dangerous, and should not be approached, the detachment warns.
