Grant money is available for organizations in the Peace Region with the help of and to the farming community.
The Rural Communities Foundation, through the United Farmers of Alberta, are providing funds to improve the lives of farmers and ranchers by sustaining their communities.
$500,000 over the next 5 years is available to community organizations, particularly in the Peace Region.
Groups that have benefited from this grant include organizations in Grimshaw, Nampa and Eaglesham.
Another $100,000 is available but application deadlines are fast approaching.
The Application deadline is August 31st.
