Search Warrant Results in Seized Guns and Drugs

 

A resident of Kapawe’no First Nations near High Prairie is facing multiple weapons and drug related charges. High Prairie RCMP Integrated Drug Enforcement unit and Lakeshore Regional Police Service conducted a search warrant on the Kapawe’no First Nations where they found multiple weapons, including shotguns and assault rifles. Police also found 290 grams of cocaine.

Brandon Mcloed (Halcrow) has been remanded into custody and is set to appear in High Prairie court on June 25th. Mcleod is facing charges for Posession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine, Unsafe Storage of a Firearm, Possession of a Firearm without a license, and Failure to comply with Justice of the Peace Recognizance.

Mcleod was previously released 6 times between June 2017 and May 2018 where he’s been charged for Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine and Possession of Cocaine 3 times, and breaching his conditions over that time period.
