Similar sessions also set to take place on November 2 in Manning and La Crete.

In Manning, it’s being hosted by the North Peace Applied Research Association (NPARA) at 9 AM. In La Crete, it’s to be hosted by the Mackenzie Applied Research Association (MARA) at 4:30 PM.

Organizers say that this workshop will discuss how genetic and genomic tools can help identify superior animals to develop a productive and profitable cow herd.

Various speakers will be on hand at this event. They will talk about potential health and nutrition related problems producers may face this winter, as well as minimizing difficulties during calving and breeding seasons.

Each event is $20 per member of each respective organization, while it is $30 for non-members.

For the events at Valleyview or Spirit River, they can call the PCBFA office at 780-835-6799. More information on the event in Manning can be found by calling NPARA at 780-836-3354, and by calling MARA for the La Crete event at 780-927-3776.
