The regular season for the Wheatbelt Baseball League will get underway next week. There are now six teams in the league with a new team now in High Prairie, the HP Sauce. Also in the league this season are the Rycroft Rage who are the two time defending league champions, along with the Grande Prairie Brewers, Grimshaw Huskies, Manning Mets and Peace River Stampeders.

The playoff format will see the top five teams qualifying. 4th place will play 5th place in the wild card game with the winner to face 1st place in the semi-finals while the other semi-final will have 2nd place against 3rd place. The semi-finals and the finals will be a best-of-five series.
